Peace County Strong COVID-19 Greatest Needs Campaign!
April 3, 2020 – Grande Prairie, AB
The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation has launched the Peace Country Strong COVID-19 Greatest Needs Campaign to support our frontline AHS medical professionals, hospital staff, patients and our residents at Mackenzie Place.
The flexibility to be able to meet the daily needs of our hospital teams is the Foundations’ highest priority. The “Peace Country Strong COVID19 Greatest Needs Fund” will support the needs indicated by frontline staff as well as emergency and emerging needs. Expenses that are sure to rise over the months ahead.
The Foundation is currently working to support patients and long-term residents in the QEII Hospital and Mackenzie Place. Due to the isolation, social distancing and visitor limits, there is very limited access for these groups to the outside world. Providing the tools and technology to remain socially connected without compromising the health of the patients, residents and hospital teams is extremely important to their well-being.
“It was important to us to create a campaign that offered opportunity for everyone in our region to participate. Of course we are accepting monetary donations through our website, but we are also accepting gift cards for things such as gas, groceries and food; donations of iPods and iPads to help connect our residents in Mackenzie Place during this time or isolation; and the opportunity for anyone to send a message of hope, thank or support to our frontlines” explained Keith Curtis, GPRH Foundation Executive Director.
To make a direct donation of gift-cards, iPads or iPods please contact Dawn Miller at Dawn.Miller@AHS.ca or 780-832-6471 and she will make arrangements for you to do so.
